Alternative metal upstarts Mudvayne re-released their original independent EP, Kill, I Oughtta, along with live tracks and remixes in the winter of 2001 as The Beginning of All Things to End. The EP, which was originally released in 1997, paints a slightly different picture of the band. The songs are reminiscent of '90s alternative metal groups like Mind Funk and Paw, blending stronger melodies and catchier riffs than the material on L. Kill, I Oughtta is the debut extended play of American metal band Mudvayne. It was self-released by the band in 1997. In 2001, the EP was reissued by Epic Records under the title The Beginning of All Things to End. The reissue featured, as additional tracks, remixes of Dig, a song from the band's debut studio album, L. 50, and L. 50, a 17-minute sound collage which originally appeared as interludes on that album.
