Wrong Way Up is a 1990 album by Brian Eno and John Cale. The album sits between the electronic, prog-rock and art rock genres and features some of both Eno and Cale's most mainstream work. The cover was conceived by Eno. The 2005 re-release on All Saints Records was remastered and had a different cover. It contained two bonus tracks, Grandfather's House and You Don't Miss Your Water by Eno. Both titles only appeared on single or EP before the latter was taken from the 1988 OST album Married to. Cale said Eno would listen to what you said, but he really didnt have much patience with havent figured out yet what Brians notion of cooperation, or collaboration, is. Yet Wrong Way Up would be far more euphoric than either expected. Eno said, We both started out thinking it would be quite stark and sort of, slightly Eraserhead in feeling. In the first post-Cold War spring, with the Berlin Wall down and Nelson Mandela freed, the feelings were hopeful. 50 видео Воспроизвести все Микс Brian Eno & John Cale - Footsteps Wrong Way. Brian Eno - Córdoba. Wrong Way Up, their first out-and-out collaboration, grew out of Enos production of Cales Words for the Dying last year, and the result is a gem, if an oddly anachronistic one. Their trademarks - haunting synth patterns, carefully plucked guitar strings, self-consciously simple lyrics, chantlike choruses and echoey production - have been so plundered by their protégés over the years that they have lost some of their initial mystique. Backed by a few drumbeats and synthesizer fills, Cales calm vocal delivery gives the simple story in Cordoba a chilly pathos. On Empty Frame, Cale and Eno become warped, profound Beach Boys: Above a pulsating. Brian Eno & John Cale - Footsteps Wrong Way Up 3:14. Brian Eno & John Cale - Been There, Done That 2:53. This 1990 release found Brian Eno who should need no introduction here and former cello prodigy John Cale ex Velvet Underground entering the studio for a collaborative effort which would see Eno putting aside his longstanding ambient experiments to record his first new pop songs with vocals, yet since 1977's BEFORE AND AFTER SCIENCE.
